It is the magnificent centrepiece of the historic Stadthalle in Görlitz: the Sauer organ, built in 1910, has been maintained in its original condition for 111 years and is the last of its kind. On this day of public access to heritage sites, which is also dedicated to »The Queen of Instruments«, the Stadthalle will open its doors to allow listeners to experience the power and beauty of this glorious instrument. This concert establishes a bond between the Lausitz Festival and the Silesian Music Festival for which the Stadthalle was originally planned and built.
