The troubled history of the former Nazi and Stasi prison Bautzen 2 will be both background and focus of a music theatre production by Aron Kitzig based on interviews with former inmates about their dreams during and after their incarceration. A space will be created for these memories, allowing the act of remembering to become a living part of our culture. This production attempts to give the infamous »House of Silence« a new voice – not least with the power of music by Salvatore Sciarrino, Olivier Messiaen, and Peter Maxwell Davies.
