»Aurora – Hommage à Jacob Böhme«

The Görlitz visionary and mystic Jacob Böhme (1575–1624) is a little known but highly influential figure in German intellectual history.

This film introduces an important thinker to a modern audience and explores fundamental questions of our time. This is not a documentary biography, but a cinematic meditation in which Jacob Böhme speaks to us in his own words. All the texts used in the film are taken from the complete edition of his works from 1730.
