Change of program final concert
Due to urgent personal reasons Dee Dee Bridgewater unfortunately cannot perform tonight. Please welcome Sebastian Studnitzky (p, tp), Arto Mäkelä (g), Haggai Cohen-Milo (b), Bodek Janke (dr) instead.
The first Credo Prize will be presented to the Czech theatre director Petr Štědroň. He is being honoured for his long-standing commitment to art as a socially relevant force that is indispensable to our society.
The award ceremony itself is directly linked to an artistic performance. At the premiere to mark the opening of the festival on 25 August 2026 in the Church of St Peter and Paul in Görlitz, a »Credo« composed especially for the festival will be performed as part of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Mass in B minor.
