Correspondence between Brigitte Reimann and Christa Wolf, 1963–1973
A friendship in letters and diaries
First performed at Lausitz Festival in 2023
Since then, several times on stage in Dresden
From the correspondence between writers Christa Wolf and Brigitte Reimann: The exchange between these two very different women lasted ten years and covered art and life, everyday life and love. Both held fast to the ideal of a more just society – regardless of dogmas and constraints. As the letters and diary entries exchanged between 1963 and 1973 touchingly show, Christa Wolf and Brigitte Reimann, who died in 1973 at the age of only 40, were bound by a deep friendship.

»Zwischen Welten«
Premiered at Lausitz Festival 2025
Twenty years ago, their paths diverged: Theresa took over the family farm in Brandenburg. Stefan rose to become department head at a weekly newspaper in Hamburg. A surprise reunion sets off an intense exchange of emails: the different experiences of the former friends have led to different attitudes. Opposites collide. It's about the desire for change and the question of how. And about who will pay the bill in the end.
Based on the novel of the same name by Juli Zeh and Simon Urban.
