In a playful and informal atmosphere, this workshop for school students will consider the meaning and usefulness of culture, or perhaps its uselessness and lack of meaning. The discussion in Görlitz’s Museum of Culture and History will deal not only with supposedly important figures from the region’s past, but also with questions of cultural identity, which are dependent, however, on the nature of the historical sources. Using the possibilities and limitations of this location as a point of departure, the workshop will explore possible utopian scenarios for the future.

Prof. Dr. Christiane Voss
Prof. Dr. Christiane Voss ist Professorin für Philosophie an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Ihre Schwerpunkte in Forschung und Lehre sind: Medienphilosophie, philosophische Ästhetik und Anthropologie. Derzeit ist sie Sprecherin des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs "Medienanthropologie" an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.(Publikationen: siehe Website der BUW).
Lars Dreiucker
Lars Dreiucker ist Leiter der diskurs-philosophischen Sparte des Lausitz Festivals. Er ist Lehrbeauftragter an der SRH Berlin School of Popular Art, freier Kurator und Autor. Die letzte Dekade war er leitender Kurator der Sprechsaal Galerie, Berlin. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind: Phänomenologie, Ästhetik, Logik, Theorie der Popkultur.
