The fifth commandment, »Thou shalt not kill«,
Is illuminated in a doubly disturbing way: we see a murder as well as the execution of the murderer, and are confronted with the larger question of what it means to kill. Through the perspective of a young lawyer, Krzysztof Kieślowski explores the darker sides of human nature. The film will be shown in the village church in Saxdorf, giving perhaps a different and larger perspective to the questions raised by the film.
