Burghart Klaußner has not only received countless awards over the years for his brilliant performances as an actor in film, television, and theatre productions, he has also been active as a director, writer, and musician. For the Lausitz Festival, he will read for the first time from Sholem Abramowich’s ‘The Travels of Benjamin III’ – a satirical novel from 1878 that describes how Benjamin and Senderl escape the confines of provincial life in a Jewish village, much like Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. A European journey by a great European author.
